Where’s the bacon?

Whiskers is a cute 1-to 2-year-old female dog who weighs about 40 pounds.

The dog loves people and playing outside. She also enjoys bacon-flavored treats.

Whiskers is at Philadelphia’s Animal Care and Control, at 111 W. Hunting Park Ave.

Adoption hours are weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ••

Show some Mercy

Mercy is a handsome, very tiny kitten who was orphaned and is now in foster care via Northeast Animal Rescue.

The 13-month-old cat is playful and affectionate. He gets along well with dogs, kids and other cats. He likes to nap in the sunshine and play with toys.

Mercy is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations, and has tested negative for the feline immunodeficiency and leukemia viruses.
